We’re recruiting for a Senior Communications Officer to join our team! Contractually based out of our Portsmouth office, this is a full-time permanent position working 37 hours per week with a minimum of 20% of this to be office-based working to promote collaboration and team working.

Here’s The Facts About The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join VIVID as a Senior Communications Officer. Working closely with the Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging internal and external communications that supports organisational priorities, and connects with customers, colleagues and stakeholders. From creating compelling content and helping to manage digital channels to supporting media relations and campaigns, you will help ensure communications are impactful, audience-focused and aligned with the organisation's values and strategic objectives.
As part of a collaborative communications team, you will create high-quality content across a variety of channels including external websites, our intranet, social media, newsletters, corporate publications and employee communications. You'll also help identify positive stories, develop press releases, secure media coverage and helping manage reactive media enquiries to help protect and enhance VIVID's reputation.

This is a varied and hands-on role offering the opportunity to make a real difference within a driven organisation serving communities across the south of England.
As the ideal candidate, you’ll be:
- An experienced communications or PR professional with plenty of experience writing engaging and accurate content for a range of communication channels and audiences.
- Knowledgeable in Canva and Adobe Creative.
- Experienced in content creation and digital marketing, as well as the ability to proofread to a high standard.
- Knowledgeable in using content management systems, email marketing platforms and running online and in-person events.
- Knowledge of the housing sector would be advantageous, as would experience working in a large, multi-site organisation, however these are not essential.
- Self-motivated, organised and adaptable.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced communications environment where you’ll need to manage multiple priorities effectively.
