Senior Communications Officer | £45,000–£50,000 | Remote
I’m recruiting for a Senior Communications Officer to join a growing, international not-for-profit organisation working at the intersection of sustainability, industry and responsible business.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on communications professional to take ownership of varied communications activity, help shape the narrative around complex global challenges and contribute to an organisation delivering meaningful environmental and social impact.
The role
You’ll support the delivery of a global communications programme, working with members, policymakers, industry stakeholders and colleagues across different countries. Responsibilities include:
- Creating compelling long- and short-form content for websites, media and social channels.
- Managing social media and website content, editorial calendars and digital assets.
- Supporting media relations, including press releases, journalist engagement and spokesperson briefings.
- Coordinating communications around major announcements, reports, events and webinars.
- Producing newsletters and other member and stakeholder communications.
- Monitoring performance and using analytics to improve communications activity.
- Providing day-to-day guidance and support to a Communications Assistant.

What we’re looking for
You’ll bring at least 5 years’ relevant communications or marketing experience, ideally within an international or multi-stakeholder environment. Strong writing, excellent organisation and the ability to communicate complex or technical subjects clearly are essential.
Experience across media relations, social media, websites, email communications and stakeholder engagement will be particularly valuable. You should also be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in a small, collaborative team.
Experience within sustainability, climate, industry, NGOs, standards bodies or multi-stakeholder organisations would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Location & package
📍 Predominantly remote, with UK-based candidates preferred. Regular London co-working is expected, usually one day per week for those within commuting distance, with agreed periodic visits for those further away.
💷 £45,000–£50,000, depending on experience.
📄 Permanent, full-time position.
