Description
Are you an experienced Senior Fundraising Manager excited by the opportunity to drive ambitious growth and make a real impact? This is an exciting opportunity to lead our £1.2m DIY fundraising programme, the largest income-generating area within Community Fundraising, combining acquisition, mass and relationship-led fundraising to unlock its growth potential.
You’ll line manage three Senior Community Fundraising Executives, leading on DIY and Clubs & Groups fundraising respectively, and work across a varied portfolio including fundraising with patient families and In Memory. You’ll also be a key part of our supportive and collaborative Community Fundraising senior management team.
This position is a 12 month fixed term contract due to start in December 2026/January 2027.
Salary
The salary for this position is £48,690 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the growth and development of DIY fundraising, taking a holistic view of performance to identify opportunities, gaps and risks, and prioritise activity with the greatest potential to grow income and supporter engagement.
- Drive key areas of DIY growth, including acquisition and mass stewardship, while supporting the team to build, cultivate and grow a strong pipeline of higher-value supporters through more personalised stewardship and relationship building.
- Lead the growth and development of Clubs & Groups fundraising, supporting the team to strengthen stewardship, develop the pipeline of support and identify opportunities to grow income and long-term engagement.
- Contribute to the delivery and development of In Memory fundraising, supporting the team to build meaningful relationships and ensure bereaved supporters receive sensitive and exceptional stewardship.
- Line manage and support three Senior Community Fundraising Executives, providing clear direction, coaching and support to enable them to perform at their best and deliver against their objectives.
- Manage budgets, KPIs and performance across the portfolio, using data and insight to inform decisions and ensure ambitious income goals are achieved, while personally managing key supporter relationships where appropriate.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Experience of working at a senior level within community, mass or relationship-led fundraising, with a strong understanding of how to identify and deliver opportunities for growth, including developing and testing new approaches such as acquisition, products or propositions.
- Strong understanding of pipeline development and supporter stewardship, with experience of developing engagement across both mass and more personalised supporter journeys.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work sensitively with a diverse range of supporters and stakeholders.
- A strong track record of using data, insight and performance information to spot opportunities, shape priorities and drive fundraising growth.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate and support others and work collaboratively across teams.
