About The Role

TSR Legal is working with a well-established regional law firm that is looking to appoint a Senior Company Commercial Solicitor.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Company Commercial Solicitor to join an established department advising privately owned businesses, companies, partnerships, shareholders, entrepreneurs, and agricultural businesses.

The successful candidate will manage a broad caseload of corporate transactions and commercial advisory matters while developing relationships with existing clients and professional contacts.

The position would suit a Solicitor already operating at senior level or an experienced Associate ready to take the next step in their career.

About The Firm

The firm has a strong and long-established presence across South Wales and the surrounding region.

Its Company Commercial team advises businesses throughout their lifecycle, from formation and investment through to restructuring, acquisition, succession, and disposal.

The department works closely with the firm’s Property, Private Client, and Tax specialists, providing clients with a joined-up service across corporate, commercial, and personal planning matters.

The Role Will Involve

  • Managing business and company acquisitions and disposals
  • Advising on share sales and asset sales
  • Handling corporate restructuring and reorganisations
  • Drafting and negotiating Shareholders’ Agreements
  • Advising on Partnership and LLP Agreements
  • Handling joint ventures and investment arrangements
  • Advising on management buy-outs and management buy-ins
  • Supporting business start-ups and company formations
  • Providing corporate governance and Companies Act advice
  • Advising on share buy-backs and capital arrangements
  • Supporting business succession and family company planning
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and trading agreements
  • Advising on agency, distribution, and franchising agreements
  • Supporting debt and equity funding arrangements
  • Managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion
  • Supervising and supporting junior members of the team
  • Building relationships with business owners, accountants, and other professional contacts
  • Participating in networking and business development activities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
