Senior Compensation Leader - Global Technology Business

Location: UK / Europe preferred | Remote

Salary: £150,000-£170,000 + 25% bonus + significant equity

Level: Senior Director / Senior Individual Contributor

We are partnering with a high-growth, remote-first global technology business to appoint a Senior Compensation Leader into its People function.

Operating internationally across more than 40 countries, the organisation is entering an important stage of its evolution and is looking for an experienced compensation specialist to lead and further develop its global reward approach.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role combining global compensation, equity, executive compensation and long-term organisational readiness. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across People, Finance and Accounting, helping ensure the organisation's compensation and equity programmes are robust, scalable and appropriate for a complex international business.

The organisation has recently refreshed its compensation philosophy and framework, so this is not a blank-sheet build. Instead, you will take an established foundation and refine, strengthen and evolve it as the business continues to mature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the organisation's global compensation strategy and programmes.
  • Develop and enhance global salary structures, benchmarking and compensation frameworks.
  • Play a key role in the ongoing development of the company's equity programmes.
  • Provide specialist guidance on executive compensation and equity.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders across People, Finance, Accounting and equity administration.
  • Support compensation governance, modelling and documentation associated with the organisation's future strategic readiness.
  • Provide expert compensation advice across a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Ensure programmes remain competitive, commercially appropriate and scalable across multiple international markets.
  • Balance strategic leadership with detailed, hands-on compensation work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within technology, fintech, digital assets, blockchain or another high-growth environment would be particularly valuable. Candidates coming from broader fintech or technology businesses should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the digital-assets and blockchain sector.

Package & Location

For a UK-based appointment, the anticipated base salary is approximately £150,000-£170,000, alongside a fixed 25% bonus and a substantial RSU equity award.

There may be flexibility for an exceptional, more senior candidate who is comfortable remaining close to the detail.

The organisation operates a remote-first model, with a preference for candidates based in the UK or Europe. Exceptional US-based candidates with the required experience may also be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior compensation specialist to have meaningful influence over the next stage of a sophisticated global reward programme within an innovative international technology business.

All applications and conversations will be treated in strict confidence.
