Senior Competition Lawyer
Location: London
Salary: £85,000 + (DOE)
Eclectic Recruitment are working with a leading UK law firm who are looking to add a Competition Senior Associate to their London team, with the unique opportunity to help build a new competition law department.
The role offers the chance to play a defining part in establishing and growing a competition practice from the ground up. The successful candidate will have a real hand in shaping the team structure, the work it targets and the reputation it earns in the market, alongside exposure to a broad range of high-quality competition matters, including merger control, antitrust investigations, cartel and abuse of dominance work, competition litigation and wider regulatory advisory.
You will join a well-regarded firm that has made a clear commitment to this practice, with early influence, visibility with the partnership and a clear path to leadership as the department grows. You will also have the opportunity to develop direct client relationships and play an active role in the firm's continued expansion.

We are looking for:
- 5+ years' PQE
- Strong competition law experience gained within a recognised City, international or leading national practice
- Experience across a mix of contentious and non-contentious competition work, including merger control and antitrust advisory
- Experience taking responsibility for key workstreams and managing matters with limited supervision
- Strong drafting, technical and client-facing skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with a genuine interest in business development and building long-term client relationships
- The ambition to take on leadership responsibility and help build and develop a team
