Why this role matters:

At OVO, our mission is simple but huge: solve the climate crisis through Plan Zero.

As a Senior Compliance Analyst in our Policy & Regulation team, you'll be instrumental in steering our strategic compliance initiatives and maintaining regulatory excellence. By translating complex energy regulations into practical operational advice, you will help bake risk mitigation directly into our long-term business decisions as we drive toward net zero.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting directly to the Senior Compliance Manager, you'll work independently to keep our regulatory compliance activities running seamlessly:

  • Strategic Regulatory Advice: Dissect complex regulations and translate them into clear guidance for commercial and operational leaders.
  • Evidence-Backed Risk Assessments: Conduct deep-dive research across OVO and the external landscape to deliver well-evidenced risk assessments.
  • Clear & Influential Communication: Draft polished briefings, advice, and reports ready for senior leadership and regulatory audiences like Ofgem with minimal rework.
  • Regulatory Preparedness: Lead the groundwork and evidence-gathering for regulatory submissions and major compliance projects.
  • Compliance Culture Advocacy: Champion regulatory integrity and the Standards of Conduct across OVO, helping teams flag risks early.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
