Interim Compliance Consultant – Energy Trading
London | 6-month contract | ASAP start | Competitive day rate
We are working with a fast-growing, technology-led energy trading business looking to bring an experienced Compliance Consultant into its London team for an initial six-month contract.
This is a broad, hands-on role sitting close to the trading business and would suit someone who enjoys working directly with Front Office teams rather than operating in a purely oversight-focused compliance position.

- Compliance advisory
- Trade surveillance and monitoring
- Day-to-day regulatory and compliance matters
- Supporting Front Office and trading teams
- Working closely with Trading Risk, Operations, and Trade Support
- Liaising with exchanges, brokers, and other external counterparties
The ideal candidate
We are looking for someone with:
- Approximately 5–8+ years' compliance experience
- Strong experience within an energy trading environment
- Knowledge of exchange-traded energy derivatives
- Experience working closely with traders and Front Office stakeholders
- A broad, hands-on approach to compliance
- The ability to operate autonomously and get up to speed quickly

This is an urgent requirement, so candidates who are immediately available or able to start at short notice will be particularly well suited.
The initial contract will be for six months, with potential for a longer-term or permanent opportunity for the right person.
The business is open to considering both day-rate contractors and fixed-term contract arrangements.
