Senior Compliance Manager | Lloyd’s / London Market | Hybrid

We’re working with a leading specialist insurance business seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join its second line of defence.

This is a senior, hands-on compliance role with broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to play a key part in maintaining and strengthening the firm's regulatory framework.

The opportunity

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Underwriting, Operations, Claims and Risk, providing practical compliance advice and effective challenge while helping ensure the business continues to meet its regulatory obligations.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Implementing and embedding the firm's Compliance Framework, policies and monitoring programme.
  • Delivering risk-based Compliance Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of systems and controls.
  • Providing expert advice to the first line across conduct risk, financial crime, data protection and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and helping ensure policies and procedures remain current.
  • Identifying, investigating and escalating regulatory breaches and compliance issues.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting and submissions.
  • Providing compliance input into new products, business processes and key decisions.
  • Preparing clear MI, risk assessments and compliance reporting for senior management and governance forums.
  • Supporting compliance committees and regulatory governance.
  • Providing oversight and challenge around Consumer Duty and conduct risk, including helping to embed requirements across the business.
  • Leading the investigation and management of serious or escalated complaints, including root-cause analysis and remediation.
  • Developing and delivering compliance training and helping build a strong, proactive compliance culture.
  • Representing Compliance at relevant governance forums and, where appropriate, on service company boards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
