Senior Compliance Officer – Fintech / Payments Platform, London
Join a fast-growing fintech platform that's redefining financial services for local businesses across Europe. This is a chance to shape compliance at a company scaling quickly, working at the heart of product, risk, and regulatory strategy rather than sitting on the sidelines.
The Role
As Senior Compliance Officer, you'll strengthen the second line function, bringing regulatory product oversight that keeps the business compliant while enabling growth. You'll work closely with Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations, involved from the earliest stages of new product development rather than reviewing decisions after the fact.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams from day one of product development, helping build regulatory compliance into design and delivery rather than bolting it on later
- Advise on regulatory and licensing requirements as the business expands into new markets, developing practical solutions for cross-border growth
- Lead regulatory filings, disclosures, and engagement with supervisory bodies, owning the relationship with key regulatory stakeholders
- Own and evolve compliance policies, procedures, and control frameworks, testing operations to spot weaknesses and drive real improvement
- Stay ahead of regulatory change across relevant jurisdictions, translating it into clear internal guidance and training
- Design and run thematic compliance reviews and audits, delivering sharp, actionable insight rather than box ticking reports

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
