A prestigious private bank with a significant and growing presence in the UK is seeking a senior compliance officer with particular experience in the wealth and private banking space

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep abreast of external regulatory and business developments and help develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Analysis of regulatory developments
  • Contribute to compliance reporting
  • Contribute to improving the process and procedures to meet consumer duty principles
  • Provide stakeholders with sound and timely advice
  • Evaluate and advise upon proposed new products/ services and other business initiatives.
  • Develop, draft and support training
  • Review of regular reports related to complaints
  • Identify, investigate and escalate regulatory compliance risks.
  • Support management and the team through active participation in regular team and 1-2-1 meetings
  • Partner with business stakeholders
  • Lead and participate in group projects as appropriate
  • Work within the team to help identify areas for improvement
  • Support the team and act as cover for other members where required.
  • Support more junior members of the team
  • Develop and sustain technical knowledge across the products and services
  • Consider treating customers fairly and good customer outcomes in all activities.
  • Ensure management are kept informed of key risks and issues.

  • Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations including but not limited to: MiFID II, Consumer Duty, FCA rulebook
  • Strong understanding of high-risk and complex investment products
  • Proven experience in Compliance within wealth management or private banking
  • Proven ability to assess and analyse information
  • Proven ability to interpret regulation, identify risks and analyse potential control gaps
  • Strong attention to detail and focus
