We are Hiring: Senior Compliance Executive
Location: Dudley (Hybrid/Office-based as required)
Contract: Temporary Contract
Rate: £535.23 per day (Inside IR35)
About the Role
Dudley Council is seeking an experienced Senior Executive to provide strategic leadership and high-level operational support across key council priorities. You will work closely with senior leaders, elected members, and partner organizations to drive organizational objectives, deliver complex programs, and ensure effective governance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice and executive support to senior leadership.
- Lead the delivery of high-profile corporate projects and transformation initiatives.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior management and committees.
- Build effective relationships with internal departments, elected members, government bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor program performance, risks, budgets, and governance arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Council policies, and best practice.
- Support organizational planning, service improvement, and change management activities.
- Represent the Council at internal and external meetings where required.

Essential Requirements
- Significant senior leadership or executive-level experience, ideally within local government or the public sector.
- Strong knowledge of local authority governance, corporate decision-making, and public sector legislation.
- Proven experience leading complex programs, organizational change, or strategic initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation abilities.
- Experience managing budgets, risks, and performance frameworks.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.

Desirable
- Experience working with elected members and Chief Officer teams.
- Knowledge of local government transformation and service improvement programs.
- Relevant professional qualification or degree.
