Miryco Consultants is working with a leading pensions specialist to add a Compliance Specialist to their team.
This is a senior role for someone with excellent hands-on compliance experience in UK retail life insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal and regulatory expertise to support the launch and ongoing development of a retail individual annuities business.
- Play a key role in ensuring all aspects of the business are established on a strong regulatory foundation, with a focus on delivering good customer outcomes.
- Advise on product design, customer communications and experience, distribution agreements, and third-party contracts.
- Apply a strong legal and regulatory background alongside practical compliance experience within the UK retail life insurance sector.
- Bring recent experience of working with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), either directly, in a regulatory role, or through close supervisory engagement.
- Work within the Legal and Compliance function, reporting to senior legal or compliance leadership.
- Collaborate closely with senior management, business leaders, operations teams, proposition development, and external regulatory advisers.

Experience:
- 7+ years experience at a large UK insurer.
- Experience with retail annuities preferred.
- A collaborative, commercially minded working style.
- A proven track record for product development, technology-led innovation and distribution.
