The team brings over 150 years of combined experience in the concreting industry, supporting major building and infrastructure projects. Past work includes Crossrail, the Thames Tideway Tunnel, the Northern Line Extension, Battersea Power Station, The Shard, and Westfield Stratford City. The company is known for reliable service, technical expertise, and delivering concrete solutions that meet demanding project specifications.

Role Description

The Senior Concrete Field Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This role is responsible for supervising and carrying out concrete placement, finishing, and testing activities on site, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and project requirements.

  • Coordinating with site supervisors
  • Monitoring concrete pours
  • Verifying mix specifications
  • Overseeing formwork, flatwork, and ready-mix operations
  • Providing guidance to junior team members
  • Troubleshooting issues during pours
  • Maintaining accurate records of site activities
  • Supporting continuous improvement of field procedures

The role requires regular liaison with project stakeholders and adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical experience with formwork and flatwork, including setting out, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with ready-mix concrete, including understanding mix designs, slump, and on-site adjustments.
  • Ability to safely operate or coordinate heavy equipment use related to concrete placement and finishing.
  • Carpentry skills relevant to building and adjusting concrete forms, shutters, and temporary structures.
  • Proven track record in concrete field supervision or senior technician roles on large construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Solid understanding of concrete quality control, site testing procedures, and relevant industry standards.
  • Commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of UK construction site regulations and best practices.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site teams, contractors, and project managers.
  • Full, valid driving licence and ability to travel to sites across the London area as required.
