This is a permanent, 35-hour per week role based in Milton Keynes, with hybrid working. You will be expected to work full-time from the Milton Keynes office for the first 1-2 weeks to support your induction and training, before moving to the standard hybrid working arrangement.

The role

As Senior Conduct Counsel, you will:

  • Advise Investigation Officers and Regulatory Case Managers on complaints and regulatory matters.
  • Prepare, prosecute and present cases before ICAEW's Disciplinary and Regulatory Committees.
  • Manage your own varied caseload from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice across the Professional Standards Department.
  • Ensure cases progress effectively and within required timescales.

About you

You will have:

  • 5+ years' PQE or equivalent experience.
  • Strong advocacy experience - essential.
  • Experience preparing and presenting cases at hearings.
  • Strong legal analysis, judgement and advisory skills.
  • The ability to manage complex casework independently.
  • Confidence advising and constructively challenging stakeholders.
