WHO WE ARE:
Trans-Global Events specialises in organising industry-leading international B2B exhibitions and conferences, with a strong focus on renewable and low-carbon energy markets. Trans-Global Events, which is part of the CloserStill Media Group, is the organiser of the world’s largest international trade fair and conference for the emerging hydrogen, fuel cell, and carbon capture industry. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
You're an experienced B2B conference professional who knows how to build a research-led agenda from the ground up, recruit senior speakers, and deliver on-site like you've done it before. You combine editorial judgement with commercial savvy; you know great content drives ticket sales and sponsorship value, and you can balance both without compromising audience trust.
You've managed conference portfolios across multiple markets; you're comfortable with senior stakeholders, and you're ready to step up and lead someone else.
THE ROLE:
Own the Conference Strategy
- Develop and own the content strategy across all three portfolio editions (Hamburg, Houston, Abu Dhabi)
- Research target markets to identify themes, topics, and formats that engage delegates and hit commercial objectives
- Conduct research interviews with delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, and industry experts
- Use delegate feedback and event data to shape future content, identify new formats, and spot revenue opportunities
- Keep programmes relevant and differentiated from competitor events
Recruit and Manage Speakers
- Identify, recruit, and secure senior industry figures and practitioners across Europe, North America, and MENA
- Build and maintain a strong speaker network across all three markets
- Manage speaker communications, briefings, deadlines, and presentation materials
- Help speakers shape sessions so they're focused, relevant, and valuable to audiences
- Build relationships with advisory boards, strategic partners, and influential stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
