Senior Conference Producer — Wellness & Longevity

Build Something Extraordinary

Full-Time Contract Through June 2027 | Potential Permanent Opportunity | Fully Remote | Travel Required for Live Event

Help Shape the Conversation Around the Future of Health and Longevity

Strategy Institute is launching an ambitious new consumer wellness and longevity event in Toronto, June 18–20, 2027.

Bringing together leading researchers, physicians, scientists, academics, influential thinkers, and premium wellness brands, the event will combine evidence-informed education, inspiring conversations, immersive experiences, and discovery.

Our ambition is to create something fundamentally different from a conventional conference or wellness exhibition: a destination where people come to discover how to live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives.

We're looking for an intellectually curious, commercially minded Senior Conference Producer to help take this exciting project to the next level.

The event is already well underway. We've established the programme strategy, researched the key topics, developed the content framework, and begun recruiting an exciting lineup of speakers.

Your opportunity is to build on this foundation: recruit outstanding speakers, engage intelligently with their research, develop compelling sessions, and help create an exceptional three-day programme. This is not a traditional wellness festival production role.

We're looking for someone who loves ideas, asks excellent questions, recognizes emerging trends, and can hold their own in conversations with accomplished experts. Someone equally comfortable discussing longevity research with a university professor, challenging the substance of a proposed session, and identifying the compelling consumer story that makes people want to attend.

What You'll Do

Speaker Recruitment & Relationship Development

Your immediate priority will be accelerating the recruitment of exceptional speakers across the programme.

  • Take ownership of the existing speaker pipeline and drive recruitment towards clear confirmation targets.
  • Identify, approach, and secure respected researchers, academics, physicians, scientists, authors, practitioners, and influential thought leaders.
  • Conduct intelligent, substantive conversations with prospective speakers to understand their research, expertise, and potential contribution.
  • Build strong relationships with speakers, academic institutions, publishers, and relevant organizations.
  • Negotiate speaker participation, honoraria, travel arrangements, and promotional commitments.
  • Develop creative approaches to securing outstanding contributors within a carefully managed speaker budget.
  • Maintain a structured recruitment pipeline with clear priorities, deadlines, and weekly progress reporting.
  • Manage speaker relationships from initial invitation through to successful on-site delivery.

Programme & Editorial Development

Working from an established programme strategy and researched content framework, you'll collaborate directly with speakers to develop exceptional sessions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Translate complex scientific and technical subjects into accessible, thought-provoking, and compelling consumer-facing content.

  • Challenge and refine proposed presentations to ensure they deliver genuine value to the audience.
  • Distinguish credible, evidence-informed ideas from unsupported claims, marketing hype, and pseudoscience.
  • Identify emerging research, important developments, and opportunities to strengthen the programme.
  • Develop a dynamic mix of expert talks, interviews, panel discussions, debates, masterclasses, and interactive sessions.
  • Collaborate with the sponsorship team to integrate appropriate partner-led content while maintaining editorial credibility.
  • Work closely with event management to coordinate the programme and deliver an outstanding speaker experience.

Content Creation & Marketing Collaboration

We believe the value of our relationships with leading experts should extend well beyond their appearance on stage.

Alongside your core production responsibilities, you'll help identify opportunities to turn speaker conversations and research into original, engaging content. This may include:

  • Conducting short interviews with confirmed speakers.
  • Identifying compelling research findings, expert perspectives, and emerging trends.
  • Developing interview questions, article ideas, and social media content angles.
  • Capturing interesting quotes, practical advice, and insights for consumers.
  • Collaborating with marketing on speaker announcements, newsletters, educational content, and promotional videos.
  • Identifying opportunities for podcasts, webinars, and other content that extends the event's influence throughout the year.

Our marketing team will manage most editing, design, publishing, and distribution. Your contribution will be the expert relationships, editorial insight, and original material that make these activities valuable.

Speaker recruitment and programme development will remain your primary responsibilities.

The Person We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly capable conference producer with exceptional intellectual curiosity, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to deliver results. You'll bring:

  • Proven experience researching complex subjects and transforming them into compelling conference programmes.
  • Exceptional analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, and research skills.
  • Strong editorial judgment, including the ability to distinguish substantive, evidence-informed ideas from trends, marketing claims, and pseudoscience.
  • Confidence interviewing and developing content with senior academics, researchers, clinicians, and recognized subject-matter experts.
  • The ability to quickly understand unfamiliar scientific and technical subjects, identify their significance, and translate them into accessible consumer-facing sessions.
  • A demonstrated track record of independently recruiting outstanding speakers and developing strong professional relationships.
  • Excellent writing skills, particularly in developing compelling session titles, descriptions, and promotional content.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of what makes content sufficiently interesting and valuable that people will pay to attend.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the resourcefulness to secure exceptional speakers without relying on substantial speaking fees.
  • High personal standards, initiative, intellectual independence, and the ability to deliver at pace.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple speaker relationships and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience producing conferences in healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, science, technology, or other intellectually demanding sectors would be particularly relevant.
  • A background in wellness is advantageous but not essential. Strong research, editorial, and conference production capabilities are considerably more important.
