Senior Configuration Engineer - Aerospace
Location: North Kent, 4 days on site.
Salary: Competitive DoE
Type: Permanent
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the projects, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance to be considered.
We’re looking for an experienced Configuration Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation, supporting the effective implementation of Configuration Management processes across a range of complex aerospace projects.
This is an opportunity to work closely with engineering teams, project managers, and customers, ensuring configuration requirements are clearly defined, controlled, and maintained throughout the full product lifecycle.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting Configuration Management activities across multiple projects, providing guidance to engineering and project teams, and helping to ensure processes are applied consistently and in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of the five pillars of Configuration Management.
- Ability to work within regulated engineering frameworks and standards.
- Experience operating within AS9100 / EN9100 environments.
- Strong Configuration Management (CM) background within aerospace.
- Experience managing product structures and the documentation that supports aerospace products.
- Understanding of industry-standard Configuration Management processes throughout the product lifecycle.
