Role Overview
The Senior Connections Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving the growth of heat networks. If you’re a seasoned professional in this field, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head of Connections Development
- Identify and develop new connection opportunities across existing buildings, regeneration projects, and new developments within heat network areas.
- Build and manage relationships with developers, local authorities, building owners, and public sector stakeholders to secure new business.
- Lead commercial negotiations, developing Heads of Terms and supporting Connection & Supply Agreements through to contract award.
- Work closely with technical, commercial, legal, and delivery teams to create commercially viable customer solutions.
- Act as a local ambassador for the company, engaging with regional stakeholders and promoting the benefits of heat networks.
- Manage and develop a strong sales pipeline through the CRM system, providing market intelligence and supporting long-term network growth strategies.

Professional Qualifications
There are no specific qualification requirements for this role, but we are looking for someone with the following experience:
- Proven experience building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Experience in project-based, start-up, or high-growth environments.
- Experience within infrastructure, energy, utilities, property, or major projects (desirable).
- Experience developing complex commercial agreements or long-term customer contracts (desirable).
- Knowledge of district heating, energy systems, or low-carbon infrastructure (desirable).
- Experience working with developers, local authorities, or public sector organizations (desirable).
