Senior Account Executive – Construction Insurance
Location: Essex (Hybrid)
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
An established and highly respected insurance broker is looking to appoint a Senior Account Executive to join its successful growing Construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial insurance professional who enjoys developing client relationships, winning new business, and providing tailored insurance solutions to businesses operating within the construction sector (CAR).
The Role
As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of construction clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities. You'll work closely with insurers and internal broking teams to deliver bespoke insurance programmes and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of construction clients.
- Generate new business through networking, referrals and business development activity.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Review clients' insurance requirements and provide tailored risk management solutions.
- Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms and coverage.
- Oversee the renewal process and identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell.
- Work collaboratively with internal broking and claims teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Stay up to date with market developments and emerging risks within the construction industry.
About You
- Proven experience as an Account Executive within commercial insurance.
- Strong knowledge of construction risks is essential.
- Proven business development and client relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A consultative approach with a passion for delivering outstanding client service.
- Strong knowledge of the UK commercial insurance market.
