Civils Delivery Director

Project: £1bn+ Pumped Storage Hydro NSIP

Location: Scottish Highlands
Type: Full-time | Client-side | Senior Leadership

Lead the Construction of a Nationally Significant Energy Project

This is a rare opportunity to take a senior construction leadership position on one of the UK's most significant renewable energy infrastructure projects.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager / Head of Site Delivery to lead client-side construction activities on a £1bn+ Pumped Storage Hydro development in the Scottish Highlands.

The project combines heavy civil engineering, tunnelling, large-scale electromechanical installation, grid infrastructure and commissioning, and will play a critical role in supporting the UK's future energy security, grid stability and net-zero ambitions.

As the client's senior site leader, you will be responsible for driving safe, efficient and successful delivery across multiple major contracts - overseeing contractor performance, construction interfaces, programme execution and site-wide coordination from mobilisation through to completion and handover.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional Construction Manager position - You will be one of the senior leaders responsible for establishing and driving the client's site delivery organisation, working alongside Tier 1 contractors, specialist subcontractors, engineers and project stakeholders to deliver one of the UK's most important pieces of infrastructure.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead construction delivery on a £1bn+ nationally significant energy infrastructure project.
  • Shape and build the client's site delivery organisation.
  • Lead construction performance across major civil, mechanical, electrical and grid connection packages.
  • Provide strategic input into construction methodology, delivery strategy and project decision-making.
  • Manage complex interfaces across heavy civils, tunnelling, electromechanical installation and commissioning.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive performance across multiple delivery partners.
  • Play a key role in delivering infrastructure that will support the UK's long-term energy transition.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
