Description
Join our dynamic Design and Construction team as a Senior Construction Manager where you will lead complex infrastructure projects from initial concept through final delivery. In this comprehensive role, you will oversee both pre-construction activities and construction execution for delivery stations and fulfillment centers across EMEA. This position combines solution design, permitting strategy, and construction delivery, requiring both strategic thinking and tactical execution. Working with diverse teams across multiple locations, you will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, from initial planning through successful completion.
Would you like an opportunity to travel and work in multiple EU countries and cultures? The role will be based in the UK with 50% of time traveling either domestically within the country or to other EMEA countries.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead and direct complex infrastructure projects from initial concept through final delivery, integrating solution design and construction strategies
- Direct comprehensive permitting processes and manage construction execution across EMEA regions
- Oversee project budgets and capital asset requests with meticulous financial management
- Develop and implement innovative best practices for pre-construction and construction phases
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with authorities, contractors, and key stakeholders

A Day in the Life
Your day is a dynamic blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, diving into design reviews, permit strategy sessions, and construction progress meetings. From analyzing capital asset requests to coordinating with stakeholders, you'll be the driving force behind seamless project delivery.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale projects from end to end
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
- Experience in stakeholder and communication management
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering, or Architecture, or Country equivalent
- Proficient user in English (C1) and local language
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Professional certifications (PE, AIA, MRICS, or equivalent)
- Experience with capital planning and multi-geographical construction delivery
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and lean construction methodologies
- Experience in managing cool chains, refrigeration equipment and installations, temperature-controlled environments are considered a strong plus
- French, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.
