Senior Consultant
Location: London, UK (Hybrid: Once a week on-site)
Type: Contract Inside IR35
Role summary
Support the redesign of data flows across the full R&D dept of a FTSE 100 Life Sciences company. The role will lead discovery and design sprints, working with stakeholders to map current-state processes/dataflows, identify improvement opportunities and develop future-state processes, data flows and ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Lead sprint planning, delivery and stakeholder coordination
- Use AI to create as-is process maps and brainstorm improvements based on existing documents and information without overreliance on SME time
- Engage SMEs and process owners outside the programme, and co-ordinate and report progress to the programme team
- Map and analyse current-state data flows, processes and dependencies
- Design future-state data flows and operating approaches
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation and AI enablement
- Manage risks, actions, dependencies and reporting across workstreams

Essential experience
- Consulting experience, Senior Consultant or Manager level
- Demonstrable knowledge of the use of AI, and genuine interest and delivery experience using AI-enabled ways of working (particularly using AI and available documents to reduce the burden on SMEs to provide information on as-is processes)
- Stakeholder management and business analysis skills and ability to engage varied stakeholders, navigate uncertainty/complexity and gather required information
- Strong understanding of process mapping, dataflow mapping and visualising data processes/dataflows
- Strong project management skills
- Data, AI or data governance experience and experience delivering data, digital or transformation programmes
