Make Your Mark at Ipsos

Ipsos Public Affairs is recruiting a Senior Consultant and an Associate Director to lead and deliver high-profile applied economic research and evaluation for public sector clients across transport and infrastructure, trade, innovation and enterprise policy.

Our evaluations help clients understand how policies and programmes are delivered, what difference they make, for whom and in what circumstances. We use robust evaluation approaches to produce evidence that supports policy development and delivery.

We have offices located in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh. We welcome applications from candidates that can be based from one of these offices and able to travel for internal and external client meetings.

What is in it for you?

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join and work with a strong team of expert evaluators. We have a compelling learning and development program as well as a chance to learn from some of the industry’s very best.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead applied economic research, appraisal and evaluation for government departments, agencies and other public bodies.
  • Work across a varied portfolio spanning transport and infrastructure, trade, innovation and enterprise policy.
  • Manage portfolios of complex projects with multidisciplinary teams. It is common for team members to manage 3-4 projects simultaneously, whilst providing technical and/or analytical projects into several others.
  • Produce clear, robust evidence that helps clients understand impact, delivery, and value for money.
  • At Associate Director level, help grow our portfolio through client development, proposals and sales and direct projects of varying size and complexity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
