The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join a large-scale banking system migration programme in London.
The programme is currently at a key stage where planning activities need to transition into successful execution. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating stakeholders, refining migration plans, driving discussions, and ensuring progress across multiple workstreams.
This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on delivery professional who can combine data migration expertise, PMO capabilities, and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Data Migration Leadership
- Support and coordinate data migration activities across multiple systems
- Review and improve migration approaches, plans, and schedules
- Identify and manage migration risks, issues, and dependencies
- Support execution planning and readiness activities

Project Delivery & PMO
- Drive project governance and delivery activities
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and deliverables
- Prepare status reports and project updates
- Facilitate workshops and steering discussions

Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate business, technology, and third-party stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with client teams and project sponsors
- Resolve cross-functional issues and drive decision-making
- Facilitate communication between multiple workstreams

Planning & Coordination
- Support migration strategy development and implementation
- Drive alignment across various project teams
- Assist with schedule reviews and planning revisions
- Ensure project activities remain on track toward delivery objectives

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in data migration projects
- Banking or Financial Services experience
- PMO or project management experience
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
- Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently and proactively
- Experience managing cross-functional project teams
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
Preferred Experience
- Core Banking experience
- Deposit systems experience
- Trade Finance knowledge
- Experience across the full project lifecycle, from planning through execution
- Experience reviewing and improving migration strategies
- Consulting firm background
