Overview / About us

Lumanity is dedicated to improving patient health by accelerating and optimizing access to medical advances. We partner with life sciences companies around the world to generate evidence to demonstrate the value of their product, translate the science and data into compelling product narratives, and enable commercial decisions that position these products for success in the market. We do this through strategic and complementary areas of focus: Asset Optimization and Commercialization, Value Access and Outcomes, Medical Strategy and Communications, and Real-World Evidence.

Responsibilities / Position overview

The Senior Consultant will play a key role in the design, delivery, and interpretation of evidence review projects for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients across a range of therapeutic areas.

The role sits within Lumanity's Evidence Review & Statistics team and will involve managing evidence synthesis projects and major workstreams, including systematic and targeted literature reviews, evidence assessments supporting HTA and EU Joint Clinical Assessments (JCA), reviews supporting indirect treatment comparisons, publications, and broader strategic evidence-generation activities.

In this role, you will take responsibility for the scientific quality and day-to-day delivery of assigned projects and workstreams. You will apply methodological judgement to complex evidence questions, identify evidence gaps and limitations, and translate findings into clear conclusions and recommendations for clients. You will work closely with colleagues across evidence review, statistics, health economics, epidemiology, and other disciplines, while providing senior review and guidance to junior team members and contributing to client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver systematic and targeted literature reviews, evidence landscape assessments, and evidence reviews supporting HTA submissions, EU Joint Clinical Assessments (JCA), indirect treatment comparisons, publications, and other evidence-generation activities.
  • Shape and critically review methods, including research questions, PICOs, eligibility criteria, protocols, data extraction frameworks, quality assessment approaches, and evidence synthesis plans.
  • Provide senior methodological input on the quality, relevance, and applicability of evidence, identifying limitations, inconsistencies, evidence gaps, and implications for HTA, JCA, downstream analyses, and client decision-making.
  • Synthesise findings across studies and evidence sources and translate results into clear conclusions and recommendations for client reports, presentations, workshops, publications, and other scientific deliverables.
  • Manage defined evidence review workstreams, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and junior team members, and contribute to day-to-day client communication as appropriate.
  • Contribute to client meetings and workshops, presenting findings and discussing methodological considerations and implications with client stakeholders.
  • Provide senior quality review and methodological guidance to junior team members, supporting their technical development and ensuring consistent scientific standards across project deliverables.
  • Work closely with statistical colleagues on indirect treatment comparison feasibility assessments and related methods, including network meta-analysis, MAIC, and STC.
  • Apply relevant methodological guidance and maintain knowledge of developments in evidence synthesis, HTA, and JCA requirements.
  • Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, budgets, business development, and internal methodological development.
  • Support the development and application of Lumanity's AI-enabled evidence review approaches, applying appropriate scientific judgement and quality-control processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
