Salary, Associate Director: £60,000-£75,000 + bonus
Central London, hybrid working

You've probably sat in enough strategy meetings to know the difference between work that ticks a box and work that actually changes how a business thinks. If you're the person who gets more excited by messy, half-formed briefs than by neat ones, keep reading.

About The Client

A London-based strategy studio working with major global brands across FMCG, lifestyle, luxury and beyond. They've grown 30% year-on-year and just took PE investment to scale further, which means real budget, real ambition, and an operating model that's still being shaped by the people who join now. Their edge is a proprietary AI insights system paired with genuine cultural and strategic thinking, not one instead of the other.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Ideal Candidate

You've spent 3–5 years in a brand or strategy consultancy, and you've built a genuine point of view along the way, not just delivered against someone else's brief. You're as comfortable with ambiguity as you are with a spreadsheet. You can hold your own with senior stakeholders, and you actually want to.
