Job Description
We're looking for an Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Domain Techno Functional Consultant to implement and support UK Absence modules for UK public sector clients. You'll need to have expert knowledge on UK Payroll and Absence modules process, guiding projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and translating complex solutions for diverse audiences.
Your role
As an Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management techno-functional consultant with strong UK absence process knowledge, statutory leave awareness and implementation/support experience across configuration, testing, issue fast Formula resolution and business stakeholder engagement.
You'll also need to lead client engagements, discussing integrations, data migrations, and reporting across relevant modules. A key part of your role is translating complex technical solutions into clear insights for diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior management. You'll guide projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring smooth delivery and top system performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead functional analysis, configuration and support for Oracle Fusion Absence Management for UK operations.
- Configure absence plans, types, reasons, eligibility profiles, accrual rules, certifications, balances, work schedules, public holidays and integrations with payroll/time modules as applicable.
- Translate UK absence policy requirements into scalable Fusion configuration and clearly documented functional design decisions.
- Support end-to-end testing including unit testing, system integration testing, UAT, regression testing and payroll-impact validation for absence entries and balances.
- Work with payroll, HR operations and technical teams to resolve absence defects, data issues and integration failures.
- Prepare functional specifications for reports, extracts, integrations, conversions and Fast Formula requirements linked to absence processes.
- Support production incidents, root cause analysis, change requests, release regression and operational handover documentation.
- Engage business stakeholders to clarify requirements, explain solution options and manage risks around absence/payroll dependencies.

Required:
- Should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in implementing Oracle Fusion HCM for Core HR, Absence, Payroll and Performance for UK Public Sector clients.
- Hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management implementation and/or AMS support.
- Good understanding of UK absence processes including sickness, maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave and holiday management.
- Experience with eligibility profiles, work schedules, calendars, absence plans, accrual rules and approval workflows.
- Ability to work with Fast Formula/technical teams for absence accrual, validation and payroll interface requirements.
- Strong testing, defect triage, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
- Knowledgeable on HCM technical tools including HCM Data loader (HDL), HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulae, Payroll batch loader.

- Responsible for Coaching and mentoring team members with experience of managing 5+ team members
- Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
