Senior Finance Consultant – D365 Finance & Operations
UK-based (Hybrid working)
Offices across the UK
Our client is a leading Microsoft Partner delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation programmes across the UK. With a strong reputation in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, they work with complex organisations to modernise finance functions, optimise processes, and drive long-term value.
As a Senior Finance Consultant, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations projects, working closely with clients to design and implement finance solutions that drive operational efficiency and business improvement. You'll combine strong functional expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills, supporting projects from requirements gathering through to go-live and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance-focused workstreams within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations projects
- Work closely with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective D365 F&O solutions
- Configure and implement core finance modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Cash & Bank Management
- Facilitate workshops, process reviews, and solution design sessions
- Support testing, training, user adoption, and go-live activities
- Ensure solutions align with Microsoft best practice and client objectives

Project Delivery
- Deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timescales and budgets
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Collaborate with technical consultants, architects, and project managers throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across projects and delivery methodologies
- Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders and become a trusted advisor throughout project engagements
Essential
- Proven experience delivering Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations finance solutions
- Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting principles
- Experience working within consulting, professional services, or end-user transformation environments
- Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience facilitating workshops and working directly with finance teams
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within project teams

Desirable
- Microsoft certifications within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Experience across multiple end-to-end D365 F&O implementations
- Exposure to pre-sales activities, solution demonstrations, or proposal support
