We’re looking for a curious, proactive and highly organised Senior Content Lead (Maternity Cover) with fresh ideas, strong attention to detail and a serious passion for sport.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of sports accounts, including some of the biggest rights holders and brands in sport.

This is a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent position.

Who are Redtorch?

Redtorch is an independent Sports Marketing Agency specialising in Olympic sport. We thrive under pressure, working with small teams, high stakes and global eyes. We are passionately dedicated to making sport more relevant in a world where getting and keeping attention is harder than ever.

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on role guiding our established team and overseeing content delivery across some of our biggest accounts.

Working closely with our Research, Comms and Creative teams, you’ll help shape content strategies and contribute to brand development. You’ll bring energy and ideas, challenge and strengthen the team’s thinking, and turn audience insights into compelling digital and social content.

You’ll keep planning, creation and distribution moving, maintain high standards and build trusted client relationships. You’ll also get stuck in yourself, contributing to ideas, copy, briefs and execution.

This role demands a performance-driven approach to global campaigns, content and community management – focused on building long-term brand building.

Key responsibilities

  • Content strategy & brand development: Work with our Research, Creative and Comms teams to help define client brand platforms, positioning and messaging, translating these into content strategies, themes and campaigns that support business and marketing objectives
  • Creative thinking & innovation: Bring fresh ideas and creative energy to key accounts. Challenge and build on the team’s thinking, using audience insights, platform developments and emerging formats to create compelling content and campaigns
  • Content management & quality: Oversee the creation, curation, editing and publishing of digital and social content. Provide constructive feedback to ensure work is engaging, accurate, on-brand and platform-optimised. Identify sensitive issues and follow agreed approval and escalation processes
  • Hands-on execution: Translate agreed strategy and ideas into platform-specific delivery. Contribute directly to concepts, copy, scripts and briefs, and support production and publishing when needed
  • Team leadership & delivery: Guide and motivate project teams, delegate effectively and coordinate priorities, workloads, deadlines and approvals. Take responsibility for content quality and timely delivery across assigned accounts, supporting colleagues’ development while managing your own workload
  • Client relationships & presentations: Build trusted relationships with key clients, lead content discussions and present ideas and recommendations clearly. Translate client feedback into actionable direction for the team
  • KPIs: Take ownership of tracking and reviewing agreed content KPIs. Work with the Research & Performance Lab to interpret results, present findings and recommendations to clients, and guide the team in adapting content plans and tactics to improve performance
  • Live & reactive content: Planning and coordinate delivery around live sporting events and emerging opportunities, making timely editorial decisions and contributing directly to

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
