Senior Content Acquisition Manager

Location: London - 3 days a week in office
Contract Length: 12 months
Daily Rate: £450.00 - £550.00

Position Overview:

The employer is seeking a Senior Content Acquisition Manager to spearhead its content strategy and acquisition efforts. This pivotal role will involve identifying, negotiating, and securing content partnerships that align with the organisation's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving content initiatives that enhance the company’s offerings and foster growth within the eCommerce landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content acquisition strategy that meets the organisation's goals and enhances its competitive position in the market.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key content providers, negotiating terms that are advantageous to the organisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and analytics, to align content acquisition with broader business objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify potential content opportunities and threats.
  • Conduct thorough market research to inform content acquisition strategies and ensure alignment with customer preferences and needs.
  • Manage the end-to-end content acquisition process, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and execution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting on content performance, partnerships, and market trends to inform decision-making.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding content acquisition initiatives and provide regular updates on progress and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in content acquisition, business development, or a related field, preferably within the eCommerce industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital content ecosystems, including trends, platforms, and consumer behaviour.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Proficient in market research and analysis, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
