Job Description
About the Role
The post holder will support the Head of Service to contribute to the effective delivery of commissioning and contracting activities on behalf of the Black Country Integrated Care Board (BCICB) based within the Place Division at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder is required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving high quality care for the people of Dudley. They will play a key role in supporting the successful contracting of a range of services across the portfolio of children and young people, adults and older adult’s services including continuing healthcare (adults and children), third sector and community pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning and developing health service contracts and documentation, ensuring compliance with NHS England legislation.
- Oversees all aspects of contract management, including quality, performance, and information requirements, ensuring delivery is timely, within budget, and subject to appropriate contractual levers where needed.
- Advises and influences decision-making to maintain and improve robust contract management processes.
- Interprets national contracting policy and advises the organisation, focusing on NHS Standard Contracts and Technical Guidance.
- Supports the Head of Service in the overall management of the contracting function (on behalf of the ICB) deputising for the Head of Service as required.

- Contributes towards delivery of the Dudley Health and Care Partnership and Black Country Integrated Care Board (BCICB) strategic delivery plan and key objectives, including reporting into relevant programs within place and at system level.
