The role

As a Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you'll play a leading role in the design, integration and delivery of high-integrity control and instrumentation systems across complex nuclear and highly regulated projects.

This role is full time working 37 hours per week and can be based at our Grimsby office in North East Lincolnshire or our Hessle office in Hull. Hybrid working patterns are available, and occasional travel to other business and customer sites may be required.

Day-to-day, You’ll Be Required To

  • Designing, developing and integrating control and instrumentation systems for complex nuclear and highly regulated projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with nuclear safety requirements, technical standards, quality procedures and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative technical solutions and resolve engineering challenges.
  • Supporting testing, verification, commissioning and handover activities to deliver reliable operational performance.
  • Engaging with clients, regulators, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are delivered successfully.

Essential Experience Of The Senior Control And Instrumentation Engineer

  • Proven experience designing, engineering and delivering control and instrumentation systems within nuclear, defence, energy, process or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of functional safety, nuclear safety requirements and industry standards such as IEC 61508, IEC 61511 or equivalent.
  • Experience working with PLCs, SCADA systems, Distributed Control Systems and field instrumentation technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects through design, testing, commissioning, technical documentation and lifecycle management.

Qualifications For The Senior Control And Instrumentation Engineer

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.

Security Clearance
