Senior Conveyancer
Cardiff City Centre | Hybrid | Up to £48,000 DOE | Full-Time | Permanent
TSR Legal are delighted to be supporting a well-established law firm in Cardiff City Centre with the appointment of an experienced Senior Conveyancer to join their residential property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong conveyancer who is looking to step away from fee earning while continuing to utilise their technical knowledge, taking on a senior position with responsibility for supporting junior team members, reviewing work and assisting with the wider running of the department.
The Role
Working closely with the residential property team, you will provide senior technical support and guidance to fee earners and junior members of the department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical guidance and support to residential conveyancers and junior team members.
- Reviewing files and work to ensure high standards of quality, compliance and risk management.
- Mentoring and supporting junior fee earners and support staff.
- Assisting with more complex residential conveyancing matters and providing guidance on technical issues.
- Supporting the team with queries, problem-solving and day-to-day technical matters.
- Taking responsibility for wider non-fee-earning duties within the department.
- Assisting with processes, procedures and maintaining consistent standards across the team.
- Supporting the development and training of junior members of the department.
- Working closely with senior management to help improve workflow and departmental processes.
- Maintaining strong knowledge of current residential conveyancing procedures, legislation and compliance requirements.

About You
We are looking for an experienced conveyancer with around 6 years' PQE, although relevant experience will be considered.
You will ideally have:
- Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing.
- Extensive experience within a residential property environment.
- Previous experience mentoring, supervising or providing technical support to junior colleagues.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, risk and file management.
- The confidence to act as a senior point of reference for the wider team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with fee earners and support staff.
- A genuine interest in developing others and contributing to the wider success of the department.
- The ability to move away from a traditional fee-earning role and focus on technical, supervisory and departmental responsibilities.
