Purpose of the Role
As Production Coordinator, you’ll support the day-to-day operational execution, logistics and resource planning behind high-quality, premium and social-first content across McLaren Racing’s digital channels.
Working within the Social Creative team, you’ll be the operational backbone of the production process. By coordinating schedules, freelance bookings, equipment, call sheets and administrative workflows, you’ll enable our Content Creatators and Graphic Designers to focus on delivering outstanding work.
Whether supporting productions at the McLaren Technology Centre, on location or trackside during race weekends, you’ll help ensure the team has everything it needs, with production requirements organised and delivered on time.
Principal Accountabilities
- Coordinate productions spanning always-on social content, brand campaigns and partner activations, providing effective operational support across the team.
- Build and maintain production schedules, shooting timelines, call sheets and daily operational plans.
- Source, onboard and coordinate freelance videographers, editors, sound operators and local production crews globally.
- Manage equipment and production-kit logistics, including dispatch, transport, maintenance and trackside travel requirements.
- Coordinate rate cards, purchase orders, invoices and expense tracking with external crews, agencies, suppliers and Finance.
- Arrange location permits, media access, accreditation and rights clearances for shoots at MTC, on location and across international race environments.
- Provide real-time operational support during shoots, responding to logistical changes, schedule movements and resource requirements.
- Maintain production databases, contact lists, supplier rosters and project-management tools.
- Support metadata collection, archiving and asset retrieval for future campaigns and partner requests.
- Collaborate with Digital, Brand, Commercial, Partnerships and Publishing teams to meet platform specifications, audience needs and delivery deadlines.
- Help maintain production standards, scalable workflows and compliance with McLaren’s brand, health and safety, and operational requirements.
- Anticipate production challenges and implement practical solutions that protect creative quality, timelines and budgets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
