The Role
An integral part of the Content team, and sitting in the creative copywriting team, you will maintain the New Look tone of voice across all digital and physical touchpoints, delivering creative yet commercially minded copy and content.
Reporting into the Senior Fashion Editor, this role would suit a creative individual with an abundance of ideas, an impeccable grasp of grammar and a real eye for detail. You should feel just as comfortable brainstorming seasonal concepts as you do writing captions for Instagram and reactive push notifications.
Working closely with the Creative, Brand and Social teams to ensure consistency across all channels, you’ll write compelling, original and informative copy and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our brand voice.

What you’ll be doing
- Owning the brand tone of voice across all touchpoints
- Writing clear, concise and accurate copy that demonstrates good brand and fashion knowledge, while maintaining the New Look tone of voice
- Create multichannel copy, including but not limited to: campaign strap lines and narratives, editorials, marketing emails, push notifications, app inbox messages, PPC and paid social ads, site furniture, packaging, Instagram stories, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram feed captions, in store POS / windows, tannoy announcements, crisis comms, PR, UX, radio, video, homepages and OOH ads.
- Support the Senior Fashion Editor and Senior Content and AD Lead with idea generation for campaigns, content and concepts
- Building and maintaining a relationship with key areas of the business, including Creative, Marketing and Social – you’re an integral part of the brand so will need to be a true team player who’s comfortable working with colleagues across all departments
- Support with Kind (sustainability) copy and projects, keeping up to date with latest legal guidelines
- Concept engaging copy for promotions and reactive trade pushes
- Create seasonal and directional POS / messaging for stores
- Supporting the Senior Fashion editor – when absent, allocating team’s workload, standing in at meetings, plus editing and signing off copy
- Any ad-hoc duties

Who you are
- 4+ years’ experience within a fashion/retail environment in a copywriting role
- Excellent written English with editorial awareness and meticulous sub-editing skills
- A proven ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail
- Line management experience preferred
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices, plus an understanding of channel-specific nuance and customer journey
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise multiple projects / tasks
- Impressive knowledge of fashion, seasonal trends, pop culture references, designers and brands
- Strong commercial awareness
- Strong idea generation
- Great organisational skills
- A positive approach to feedback and excellent communication skills
