Drive Global Funding Through Elite Storytelling
We need a Senior Copywriter (3+ years) to lead Action Change’s digital narrative. Write high-converting project descriptions, SEO-blogs, and impact reports to showcase our 92 projects. UK-based/Unpaid/<15hrs p/w. Turn impact into income.
What Difference Will You Make?
Action Change is a disruptive force in international development. We don't believe in band-aid aid; we believe in setting up long-term, financially sustainable initiatives that empower communities to support themselves. This copywriting role is the strategic engine that makes this possible. By providing Action Change with a professional, global voice, you are directly responsible for securing the financial resources required to move our 92 projects from "rescue" to "sovereignty."
Currently, our greatest challenge is the "visibility gap." We have world-class impact on the ground, but we lack the high-level professional narrative required to attract major international donors and corporate partners. Your work solves this. By optimizing our website for SEO and crafting high-converting copy, you are creating the digital infrastructure that allows our work to be seen by the people with the power to fund it. You are the catalyst that turns local success into a global movement.
Every word you write has a direct, tangible result on the ground. When you write a compelling project description that secures a new monthly donor, you are providing the capital needed to train a local community leader or protect an endangered ecosystem. Your role ensures that Action Change can continue to focus on what we do best—implementing life-changing projects—while you ensure the world is watching and supporting us. You are not just a volunteer; you are a strategic partner in our global growth. By professionalizing our storytelling and driving organic traffic, you are ensuring the long-term resilience and sustainability of everything we build.
What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a senior "Impact Storyteller"—a professional with at least 3 years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or digital journalism. This role is for a "doer" who has mastered the art of persuasion and now wants to apply it to a mission of global empowerment. You are someone who understands that a single well-written paragraph can be the difference between a project being funded or forgotten. As this is an unpaid, UK-based role with a commitment of under 15 hours per week, it is ideally suited for a senior leader looking to use their elite skills for a greater purpose.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The most important quality you bring is "Conversion-Focused Creativity." You must have a proven track record of writing copy that drives action—whether that’s a donation, a corporate partnership, or a newsletter sign-up. You should be an expert in SEO best practices, knowing exactly how to weave keywords into compelling prose without losing the emotional heart of the story. You are someone who obsesses over the "Hook," the "Bridge," and the "Call to Action." You take pride in professional polish, with a meticulous attention to detail and zero tolerance for fluff or errors.
You must be a "Strategic Narrative Architect." Because you will be working with data and stories coming in from 92 different projects, you must be able to organize complex information into a clear, consistent global voice. You are comfortable writing for different audiences—from high-net-worth individual donors to a general public audience—while maintaining a sense of urgency, professionalism, and hope. Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus, but a commercial background in high-converting content or digital growth is just as valuable.
Finally, we are looking for someone with a "Growth Mindset." Action Change is an ambitious organization, and we need a writer who matches that energy. You should be someone who values transparency, sustainability, and long-term impact over "pity-based" charity marketing. We want a volunteer who is ready to take full ownership of our digital identity and prove that the right story, told by an expert, can change the world. If you are a senior lead who is tired of writing for corporate profit and wants to write for global freedom and sustainability, this is your platform. You will have total creative autonomy to define the voice of an organization that is redefining international aid.

Your mission is to take the immense, raw impact of our 92 projects and transform it into a professional, high-converting digital narrative that drives international donations. This is a "Player-Coach" role—we need your senior-level strategic advice to define how we present our "People & Planet" portfolios to the world, but we also need your hands-on talent to produce the copy that fuels our growth.

Phase 1 Conversion-Driven Project Descriptions
You will lead the complete overhaul of our project descriptions. Your goal is to move beyond simple updates and instead create compelling "Cases for Support" for every one of our 92 initiatives. You will use your professional experience to ensure every project page is optimized for conversion, clearly articulating the urgency, the impact, and the direct link between a donation and a life changed. You are writing to inspire immediate action.

Phase 3 Impact Reporting & Donor Stewardship
Transparency is the fuel of sustainable fundraising. You will design a structured reporting cycle and produce regular, professional impact reports for our website and donor platforms. These reports will turn technical field data into human stories, showing our supporters exactly how their investment is being used and the long-term difference it is making. You are responsible for the narrative arc that keeps a one-off donor engaged for years.
Phase 4 Brand Consistency & Multi-Platform Strategy
You will ensure that the Action Change voice remains professional, consistent, and "Big and Wow" across all platforms. Whether it is a long-form website article, a fundraising appeal, or a technical impact update, your writing will define our reputation. You are the guardian of our brand narrative, ensuring that every word we publish serves the ultimate goal securing the funding needed to make our global projects fully sustainable.
