This role is based in our Loughborough, United Kingdom office. You'll be joining our internal creative agency that reports to Corporate and supports diagnostics divisions across the organization.

Looking for meaningful work as a senior-level marketing copywriter with a company that’s committed to making the world a better place? This Senior Copywriter role is an outstanding opportunity to produce high-impact campaigns and coordinated tactics for our diagnostics businesses. The selected candidate will join a growing team of dedicated marketing copywriters who work alongside visual designers, webpage designers, and other marketing professionals within our in-house agency to deliver wide-ranging marketing materials that correspond to comprehensive strategic marketing plans.
As a senior-level member of that team, you will also review other writers’ work for factual and tonal accuracy, assist with their supervision and training, and help drive process and procedure improvements designed to not only boost efficiencies but also enhance creative output.
This role requires a unique blend of creative excellence and scientific fluency. You will help lead the development of copy that transforms complex scientific, clinical, and medical content into compelling customer-focused marketing while maintaining scientific accuracy and remaining aligned with intended use, regulatory requirements, and approved claims.
A day in the Life:
- Crafts thoughtful, innovative marketing communications across multiple channels consistent with brand standards, adhering to guidelines both in writing for multiple communication mediums and in interacting with internal partners.
- Balances creativity with scientific accuracy, ensuring messaging remains faithful to approved claims, intended use, and supporting evidence while maximizing customer impact.
- Develops copy that conforms to layout and other design parameters while maintaining the consistent voice and style of each respective brand.
- Brainstorms and develops dynamic and compelling creative concepts, both independently and collaboratively, that advance marketing strategies and integrated campaigns.
- Collaborates broadly with individual contributors from diverse teams to translate strategies outlined in creative briefs into engaging concepts and copy, all while embracing recognized guidelines.
- Helps lead and is part of a pod of writers serving various business partners, delivering branded creative that consistently maintains high standards in support of client goals.
- Helps coach copywriters while maintaining high standards for brand voice and guidelines, customer experience, and scientific accuracy. Helps guide copywriters on balancing creativity with scientific accuracy, ensuring messaging remains faithful to approved claims, intended use, and supporting evidence while maximizing customer impact.

Keys to Success:
- Demonstrates excellent judgment in simplifying complex scientific concepts into persuasive marketing without introducing inaccuracies, unsupported claims, or messaging that could create medical or regulatory concerns.

Education and Experience
- 7-10+ years marketing writing experience with a focus on creative and technical writing within diagnostics, life sciences, healthcare, medical devices, or similarly regulated scientific industries.
- Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising or similar
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Demonstrated mastery in creating impactful marketing communications and exemplary writing abilities marked by unimpeachable knowledge of grammar, keen attention to detail—including excellent spelling and proofreading skills—highly accomplished story construction skills, and standout creative abilities.
- Demonstrated experience translating dense scientific, clinical, or technical content into compelling marketing communications.
- Strong understanding of the unique challenges of marketing within regulated healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences environments.
- Comfortable collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure scientific accuracy while maintaining engaging, customer-centric messaging.
- Proven experience in writing both creative and technically oriented copy for on- and off-line marketing collateral and demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely for defined target audiences.
- Clear facility for leadership, including a proven talent for providing assured supervisory guidance and mentoring.
- Ability to communicate effectively; strong presentation skills, and ability to respond well to critical feedback
- Familiarity using AI-enabled content development tools and modern creative workflows while maintaining editorial quality, scientific accuracy, and brand standards.
