A leading national law firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Senior Associate to join its highly regarded corporate team in Manchester.

Joining a thriving Manchester team and a wider national corporate practice, you will play a key role in advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, with particular emphasis on:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Private equity transactions
  • Corporate restructures and reorganisations
  • General corporate advisory matters
  • Growth capital and investment transactions

The role offers exposure to sophisticated and often international matters, providing a varied and stimulating workload alongside strong partner support and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of M&A, private equity and corporate transactions
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on a range of complex transactional documents
  • Manage deals from inception through to completion
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser throughout transactions
  • Work closely with colleagues across multiple practice areas to deliver seamless client service
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team
  • Contribute to business development, networking and profile-raising initiatives

Qualifications:

  • You will be a qualified solicitor with: 4+ years' PQE gained at a national, international or respected regional law firm
  • Strong corporate transactional experience, particularly M&A
  • The ability to run transactions with appropriate supervision from senior lawyers and partners
  • Excellent technical, commercial and client management skills
  • A proactive approach to business development and networking
  • A collaborative mindset and an interest in developing junior lawyers
  • Ambition to progress your career within a growing and forward-thinking practice
