Company Description

ValuEdge is a growing strategic finance and corporate finance practice supporting founder-led and investor-backed businesses.

We provide fractional CFO, financial modelling, investor-readiness and transaction support, helping management teams strengthen financial reporting, forecasting and decision-making and prepare for fundraising, investment and M&A.

Our approach combines senior financial judgement, rigorous analysis and technology-enabled workflows to deliver clear, decision-ready financial information.

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Finance Analyst to support a growing portfolio of fractional CFO and corporate finance assignments.

This is a contract, hybrid role, initially around six days per month, with scope to increase as the practice develops. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional working sessions and client meetings in Central London.

The Senior Corporate Finance Analyst will develop and maintain detailed financial models and analytical outputs across fractional CFO engagements, investor-readiness work and corporate finance assignments.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses
  • Analysing financial statements, management accounts and KPIs
  • Preparing cash-flow, liquidity and working-capital analysis
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and forward financial planning
  • Preparing operating models and integrated three-statement models where required
  • Conducting valuation, comparable-company and precedent-transaction analysis
  • Supporting fundraising readiness, investor materials and financial narratives
  • Preparing cap-table, dilution and funding analysis
  • Supporting buy-side and sell-side transaction analysis and due diligence
  • Preparing board, investor and transaction reporting packs
  • Conducting company, market and sector research
  • Preparing first drafts of briefing papers, proposals and presentations
  • Maintaining clear source references, assumptions and audit trails across analytical work
  • Supporting internal methodologies, process improvement and technology-enabled workflows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role will involve working alongside the practice lead and management teams to interpret financial data, identify risks and opportunities, and prepare clear, decision-ready outputs.

We are looking for someone who can take a clear brief, work independently, challenge the numbers where appropriate and produce high-quality, review-ready analysis rather than simply process instructions.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and market data and translate findings into clear conclusions
  • Solid grounding in finance and corporate finance principles, including capital structure, valuation and unit economics
  • Experience in FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, including the P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow statement
  • Advanced financial-modelling skills, including integrated three-statement models, sensitivities and transaction analysis
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with complex spreadsheets and financial data
  • Experience with valuation methodologies, including comparable-company and precedent-transaction analysis
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to checking numbers, assumptions and sources
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential client information

Previous experience at Analyst, Senior Analyst or early Associate level within corporate finance, transaction services, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, strategic finance or CFO advisory would be highly relevant.

A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field is preferred. Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA would be advantageous but are not essential where the candidate can demonstrate strong relevant experience.

Working Arrangement

The role is offered on an independent contractor basis and is predominantly remote.

The initial commitment is expected to be approximately six days per month, with flexibility depending on client requirements and project deadlines.

The successful candidate should be UK-based and able to travel conveniently to Central London for occasional working sessions and client meetings.

There is scope for both the level of responsibility and number of days to increase as the practice grows.

Day rate: Competitive and dependent on experience.
