A globally recognised consulting firm is hiring a senior lawyer to join its UK Office of General Counsel. This is a rare opportunity to take on a broad, high-visibility in-house role at one of the most respected names in the industry, working at the heart of a firm that shapes how organisations across every sector operate.
You will provide legal support across corporate, finance, tax and governance matters, with direct exposure to the wider global network. You will lead the governance team and report to the Deputy General Counsel, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on the firm's most significant transactions and strategic decisions.
This is a genuine platform role. You will shape process, influence how the business operates, and build a profile across functions that few in-house positions offer.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
