The role

This role offers the chance to oversee and develop a varied corporate tax portfolio, delivering compliance and advisory services to clients across diverse sectors. You will manage complex tax cases, lead advisory projects, and mentor junior team members. The position is ideal for a proactive professional eager to grow their expertise and contribute to a forward-thinking team.

  • Manage corporate tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve tax queries and explain complex issues.
  • Support tax advisory projects including R&D credits, restructurings, and M&A due diligence.
  • Oversee work-in-progress and billing for a portfolio.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

Ideal profile

We are seeking a motivated individual with strong technical skills and a collaborative approach. You should be well-versed in managing a corporate tax portfolio and comfortable advising clients and colleagues alike. Experience in handling a variety of tax matters and leading advisory projects is essential. Candidates with a genuine passion for tax planning and development will thrive here.

  • Significant experience managing corporate tax compliance across different industries.
  • Proven ability to handle complex tax advisory projects (e.g., EMI schemes, restructuring, R&D claims).
  • Experience managing work-in-progress and billing.
  • Strong communicator with mentoring skills.
  • Proficient in tax software and Excel.

Preferred

  • CTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with UK GAAP/FRS 102 and current tax legislation.
  • Exposure to transaction support and M&A due diligence.
  • Ability to develop a niche in tax planning areas.
