Status: Contract Inside IR35 (RENEWABLE)
Morson Edge is recruiting for an experienced Senior Cost Engineer to join our client's established team on one of the UK's largest energy infrastructure projects in Somerset. This is a renewable contract opportunity, inside IR35, offering competitive all-inclusive rates.
In the role of Senior Cost Engineer, you will lead Cost & Forecasting activities across a major programme, ensuring robust cost control, forecasting accuracy and compliance with project governance. You'll provide expert insight, support strategic decision-making and manage contracts valued between £10m and £500m.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost management and forecasting for a designated programme area.
- Produce and maintain accurate cost reports, forecasts and performance analysis.
- Manage cost data using systems such as EcoSys, SAP and Power BI.
- Support Programme Directors with cost analysis, scenario planning and risk management.
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with project controls standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and forecasting tools.
- Collaborate with Project Controls, Risk and Delivery teams to drive informed decision-making.

About You
- Typically HND (or equivalent) in Project Management, Engineering, Project Controls or a related discipline.
- Significant senior-level Cost Engineering experience within major infrastructure, engineering, energy or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, cost management and forecasting methodologies.
- Experience using EcoSys, SAP, Power BI and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience on major construction or nuclear projects is advantageous but not essential.
