Working with the Head of Cost Planning to prepare cost plans for new opportunities and live projects from feasibility through to planning submission.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out market research and analysis to inform our cost database
  • Working with the ARADA In-house Construction team to analyse live cost data
  • Provide cost management of projects through early design stages, advising on design and buildability from a cost aspect. Updating cost plans accordingly
  • The measurement of projects from drawings (using CostX) to produce quantities to be used in creating budgets and cost plans
  • Analysis of cost data from placed orders (and other sources) for benchmarking and review of cost plan allowances
  • Liaising with other members of the Pre-Construction department providing assistance in connection with buildability and programme

Qualifications

  • Relevant HND/HNC or degree in a construction or quantity surveying related subject
  • Member of (or working towards) RICS or similar professional institute is desirable
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar or related role
