This highly regarded national law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Costs Lawyer to join its expanding Insurance Business Services team. Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for your own varied caseload of predominantly defendant costs matters, advising on all aspects of costs litigation from instruction through to conclusion.
- Workload will include drafting Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute and Replies, preparing Schedules of Costs, negotiating settlements, and providing strategic costs advice across a broad spectrum of insurance disputes.
- The role also offers advocacy opportunities together with the chance to mentor and support more junior members of the team.

Requirements
- Qualified Costs Lawyer, Solicitor, or equivalent with proven experience managing defendant and/or claimant costs files.
- Detailed understanding of the Fixed Recoverable Costs regime.
- Experience of insurance-related costs work, ideally covering areas such as motor, employers liability, public liability, industrial disease, or clinical negligence.
- Strong drafting skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to negotiate confidently on complex matters will be essential.
