Are you an experienced Control & Instrumentation Technician looking for your next challenge? Would you like to be part of a skilled maintenance team supporting critical operations at Dounreay?
We are seeking a Senior Craft Technician (Control & Instrumentation) to join the Fuel Cycle Area (FCA) Programme. You will play a key role in delivering safe, compliant and effective maintenance activities while working within a highly regulated environment.
What will you be doing?
You will carry out planned maintenance, fault-finding and defect rectification activities on plant and equipment, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. You'll also support continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain the high standards expected on a nuclear licensed site.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to support maintenance activities and resolve technical issues.
- Diagnosing faults, investigating defects and implementing maintenance solutions.
- Producing technical reports and supporting Safe Systems of Work documentation.
- Mentoring apprentices, identifying improvement opportunities and deputising for the Supervisor when required.

Who are we looking for?
We're looking for an experienced Control & Instrumentation professional with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance.
Essential Requirements Include
- Instrument Apprenticeship plus HNC in Engineering (or equivalent qualifications and experience).
- Comprehensive instrument maintenance experience.
- Ability to undertake responsibilities associated with relevant site authorisations.
- Successful completion of the post-specific capability analysis assessment - Post specific capability analysis assessment
