Position/Title: Senior Craftsman
Reporting To: OSM Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
Taylor & Fraser OSM is seeking reliable and motivated Pipefitters to join our growing off-site manufacturing team. The successful candidates will assist in the fabrication and assembly of structural frames used in the manufacture of high-quality modular pipe systems for data centre projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a modern manufacturing environment with ongoing training and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, isometrics and GA drawings.
- Measure, mark out and fit carbon steel and stainless steel pipework.
- Assemble pipe modules using Unistrut and Hilti modular systems.
- Install valves, flanges, fittings, supports and associated mechanical equipment.
- Carry out dimensional checks to ensure modules are built within tolerance.
- Work closely with welders, fabricators and quality inspectors.
- Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements
- Time-served Pipefitter or recognised mechanical apprenticeship.
- Previous experience in industrial pipefitting or workshop fabrication.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and isometrics.
- Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel pipework.
- Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to quality and safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable (not Essential)
- Experience in steel fabrication or modular construction.
- Experience in Data centre or pharmaceutical industries.
- Forklift licence.
- Overhead crane experience.
- Abrasive Wheels certification.
- Manual Handling training.
