Wellcom London is looking for a senior creative leader with a strong design foundation to help shape, lead and elevate creative work across the agency. You’ll be a trusted creative voice, leading key briefs, influencing client relationships and setting the standard across multidisciplinary teams.
About the Role
Based in Clerkenwell with our creative team, you’ll report directly to our Head of Creative and work closely with our Head of Production. You’ll lead work from concept through to execution, partnering with our world-class production talent and multidisciplinary teams to deliver distinctive, beautifully crafted work across a diverse client portfolio.
We’re craft-first and passionate about delivering exceptional work across a wide range of mediums and channels. You’ll love creating bespoke projects and campaigns and will be equally comfortable owning and steering the creative from pitch through to execution or collaborating with agency creative teams. It’s varied, fast-paced and ideal for someone who thrives on solving different kinds of creative challenges.
You’ll be endlessly curious, resourceful and energised by finding better ways to do things. You’ll embrace AI, emerging technology and new tools, exploring how they can strengthen ideas, improve the creative process and push the work forward.
What will you be doing?
- Support the Head of Creative with Leading and directing project teams across design, CGI, copywriting and digital production, setting the creative standard from brief to through to delivery.
- Take ownership of elevating creative quality across teams, ensuring the work is consistently distinctive, strategically sound and beautifully crafted.
- Develop compelling creative concepts for campaigns where needed that align with the client objectives and brand guidelines.
- Shape and co-lead creative strategy across key briefs, ensuring ideas are relevant and executable
- Lead and contribute to pitches and new business opportunities, shaping creative responses, presenting ideas and building confidence with clients.
- Guide clients with clarity and honesty, balancing their needs with strong creative thinking.
- Remain hands-on across the creative process, from scamping an idea and concept development through to toolkits and final delivery
- Set and uphold the creative bar across disciplines, providing decisive direction, clear feedback and effective mentorship to designers, copywriters, CGI artists, developers and AFX artists to craft and maintain a high level of creative output.
- Have a thorough understanding of the digital advertising space and champion digital-first creative thinking across DOOH and emerging formats, ensuring concepts are built for the channel rather than adapted into it.
- Oversee creative development across print, video, web and multimedia, maintaining quality and consistency throughout.
- Be collaborative, strategising with internal team members to anticipate challenges, assess solutions, identify alternatives and make recommendations.
- Act as a senior creative partner to clients, enhancing briefs constructively and identifying opportunities to strengthen the work, and deepen the relationship.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, apply these proactively to our ways of working and processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
