What we're looking for
We like to work with mavericks. Wild cards. Brilliant, empathetic, creative and strategic thinkers. Talented individuals who are comfortable enough to be independent, but humble enough to know they don’t know it all.
We believe in being seriously playful. Making the work as impactful as it can be, and having some fun along the way. If that appeals to you, you’re reading the right job spec.
The role
Founders Makers is looking for Senior Creative to join our London team, working closely alongside our Creative Director across campaigns, branding and content to create standout work, push the creative ambition of the agency and help us win.
We’re an independent agency, which means we move quickly, stay close to the work and don’t have layers of people or process getting between a good idea and making it happen. We’re looking for someone who thrives in that environment.
Someone who can have a great idea, scamp it, sell it, make it better and then roll their sleeves up and help get it out the door.
You’ll need to be comfortable switching gears. One day you might be developing a major campaign; the next you might be jumping onto a fast-turnaround brief that needs a great idea by the end of the day. You’ll know when something needs weeks of craft and when it needs speed, instinct and a smart solution.
- Role: Senior Creative
- Salary: £45k–£60k, dependent on experience
- Start: Immediately

- Training: Individual training budgets for all members of the team
- Holidays: 20 days, plus public holidays, your birthday and our two-week break over New Year
- Work From Anywhere: Up to 20 days each year

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Have big, original ideas and the portfolio to prove it.
- Have a strong visual eye and great creative instincts, and care deeply about how the work looks and feels.
- Are equally comfortable thinking and making.
- Can take something from a rough thought or scamp through to a finished piece of work.
- Move quickly and don’t get (too) precious about the process.
- Can work with ambiguity, changing priorities and tight turnarounds without losing sight of the quality of the work.
- Know how to be scrappy when you need to be, finding clever ways to make ambitious ideas happen without enormous budgets or resources.
- Have hands-on production experience across everything from agile social shoots and content to photography, animation, CGI and high-end film.
- Can confidently present and sell creative thinking to clients.
- Know when to fight for an idea, when to flex and when to find another way.
- Bring the same energy to the small jobs as you do to the sexy ones.
- Are proactive, collaborative and decidedly low-ego.
What you'll be doing
Working within our wider creative and design team, you’ll be:
- Come up with brilliant, attention-grabbing creative ideas.
- Take briefs and quickly work out where the creative opportunity is.
- Develop multiple concepts and routes rather than falling in love with the first idea.
- Work across everything from brand identities and creative platforms to campaigns, social, content, film and experiential.
- Turn early thinking into compelling scamps, brand worlds, treatments, content ideas and presentations.
- Get stuck into pitches and new business, often working at pace to turn around ideas and creative routes.
- Collaborate with designers, strategists and the wider agency team.
- Find creative ways to make ambitious work happen within real-world budgets and timelines.
- Work with photographers, directors, illustrators, animators, production partners and other external talent.
- Challenge briefs and feedback constructively when you believe there’s a better answer.
- Keep an eye on culture, technology, AI and new ways of making work.
- Help raise the creative standard and build the creative culture of a growing independent agency.

About you
You’ll already have strong agency experience as a Senior Creative, with a body of work that shows you can think conceptually and bring brilliant ideas to life beautifully.
You’ll have a great visual eye, but you won’t be boxed into one discipline. Just as importantly, you’ll enjoy the reality of working in a smaller independent agency.
You’re ambitious for the work and for the agency. You want to make things you’re proud of, win pitches, attract exciting clients and be part of building something.
You have a point of view without an ego. You know when to obsess over the details and when getting a great idea into the world matters more than making everything perfect.
If you like the idea of being part of a tight-knit team, close to the work, close to the decisions and having a real hand in where an independent agency goes next, you’ll probably like it here.
Who we work with
People, brands and organisations ranging from household names to challengers looking to make their mark. What unites them? They’re nice people with big ambitions to make an impact in their industries, and they trust us to help them do just that.
