About the Role
This role is based in Northeast England, working within the creative and marketing team for a trusted industry-leading wholesaler with a strong heritage. They are seeking a conceptually led Senior Creative Designer with a deep understanding of graphic design and storytelling.
You will be overseeing a small, talented design team, working alongside their Head of Brand and Creative, working together to help set their creative direction as well as hands on delivering impactful creative work across print and branding, events, digital, video and motion - shaping their creative direction and elevating their brand storytelling.
As a senior leader within the creative team, you will balance hands-on creative execution with team mentorship, stakeholder engagement, and process optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee concept development through to execution, ensuring work is strategically aligned, performance-driven, and delivered to an exceptional standard.
- Work from concept to delivery on a wide array of projects, from large projects to fast turnaround smaller projects.
- Work with the Head of Brand and Creative to set the creative direction across all of their creative work.
- Allocate work to the creative team to help deliver the creative output to a high standard.

Requirements
- You have a passion for all things design, strong ideation skills and a good understanding and experience of digital and a portfolio that showcases your creative work.
- A design qualification and 5+ years of relevant design/Art direction in a role that has included team management and a strong emphasis on digital or multimedia.
- You are a natural storyteller and are able to develop a simple and compelling brand narrative which ties campaigns together.
- Strong conceptual skills, Art Direction experience beneficial.
- Experience of working within retail or e-commerce environment would be beneficial.
- Good digital creative knowledge.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
- Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro – at the very least in directing others, but ideally some hands on experience.
- Experience of ideation and creation across digital or multi-media campaigns, including video or motion.
- You are confident in presenting creative work to stakeholders at all levels.
- Social Media savvy - understanding of different social platforms from TikTok to Instagram and LinkedIn.
- You have a strong strategic and operational mindset.
- You have very good communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude.
